Year of the Crow, First Month, Day 20.

I have little to note other than that we continue to make good time. Although I do not wish to tempt fate, if we continue at the same pace and the weather remains clement, we should arrive at Purple Lightning within another 8 days or so.

I did speak to Haru about her reaction when I suggested that we would share the room but she said little except to offer an apology. I reminded her again, that the only way anyone would find out about my network was if she told them. She did not seem overly impressed with that so I reiterated that I was certainly not going to let it be known that my network existed and that all she needed to do was behave normally. 

Other than that, the journey has been very smooth so far. It has transpired that Kaede has somehow found the time to plot our entire journey and arrange rooms for us at each of our stopping points. I suppose that is why she asked me to stay longer, so she could organise things on my behalf unless... unless she has somehow engineered this entire affair and has had this planned for some time. No... why would she do that? She asked me to stay. Perhaps she did so knowing I would refuse... I come back to wondering whether she is in cahoots with Mother... what if there is some disaster awaiting me on this journey and I will never get to Purple Lightning. 

I must stop this train of thought. I am being ridiculous. Kaede is good and honourable and kind; she would never behave in such a way. Sasanuma might though and I still do not really know how much influence he has over Kaede or whether he may have manipulated her in some way.

Dear gods. I sound as paranoid and deranged as Yuika. I do think that perhaps I need to have a sterner word with Haru. Throw myself upon her mercy and beg her to tell me everything she knows... that might work.
